I was going to post yesterday.. or earlier.. or whatever, but the power went out mid-post. I have no idea what happened because it was just our area.. and there wasn't a storm or anything. Kind of creepy. Maybe someone hit a telephone pole.. okaayy.. how stupid do you have to be to hit a phone pole in the middle of the day?
But, yeah.. I had no idea what to do with myself for those three hours. Everything needed electricity. Guitar, computer, GCN, tv, dvd, phone.. my computer should have worked since it's on a battery.. but it didn't. It kept freezing.. which just.. pissed me off to no end. My cell didn't work either. People never realize how dependant they are on those things until they're not there anymore. And, dear Lord, it was so hot.. so the fans didn't work.. ugh. But I'm over it. Everything's fine. Really. I painted my room Sunday. Shhhhh... don't tell the landlord... he'll never know. It's a deep blue now. It's called 'Neptune Blue'.. which I just thought was pretty.. but my room is easier on the eyes now. Everyone says it's too dark.. but, um, that's kind of what the lights and windows are for. Uh, duh. I like it.. it looked like a hospital room before. I also dyed my hair again. Or re-dyed it.. whatever. It's a deeper red now. I forget what it's called.. but it's not Neptune Blue.. nor does it sound as pretty. It's like Auburn Brown.. or somethingorother. Again, everyone says it's too dark.. okay, my mom says it's too dark. It's better than my natural blonde. And I like it.. that's all I care about. Memorial Day Ah.. we went over to my grandparents' house. They just got back from a 2-3 week tour around Europe. It's cool and everything, I love hearing about it.. and the pictures were great.. but they took so freaking many. And there were, like, four pictures of the exact same thing at the same angle.. but whatever. I want to go someday. They didn't really visit anything cool though. No Stonehenge, no castles, no Blarney Stone.. just the Eiffel Tower and Pisa. That's all I saw in the pictures anyway. They missed most of England.. and I don't think they went to Ireland at all.. those are the best parts! But anyway, Memorial Day.. I decided to drive over to the house myself because my brother's friends were tagging along like dogs in my mom's car. So, I went.. and, okay, my grandparents' driveway is just a huge, gravel hill. And I'm from Kansas. So is my car. I'm so not used to driving a stick shift up hills.. I haven't gotten used to it. Anyway, I have to, like, floor it just before I start up the driveway or else I can't get up without almost stalling. And they make fun of me... well, whatever. "Are you in a hurry, fur-fur?" Not particularly, no. Well, actually, yes.. the sooner I got there, the sooner I could leave. And leave it to them to talk about blood clots and aortic valves over dinner. Ni! says: who stole the cookie from the cookie jar? Jen says: eddie stole the cookie from the cookie jar! Ni! says: who me? Jen says: yes you Ni! says: couldn't be! Jen says: then who? Ni! says: casey stole the cookie from the cookie jar! Ni! has been kicked. I never lie. says: I didn't steal the damn cookie. ~scribbled by jen sometime around 12:16 AM
